Virtual Support Group
While our traditional in-person days of reflection are currently on hold due to social distancing, we are creating new ways to provide support for one another through loss. We are so thankful to our own Dr. Sabine Heisman, PsyD for hosting the upcoming virtual meetings via Zoom.
Families often find it healing to meet with others who have experienced a similar loss and understand this unique journey. The group will be led by Dr. Heisman, a clinical psychologist who has experience with child loss and who will introduce different monthly topics on the psychology of grief and acceptance.
Our meeting topics will focus on different aspects of grief; its impact on the body and brain, trauma and meditation. The general format includes:
We will provide an opportunity to support one another, share stories, encourage one another, or simply listen in a gentle and welcoming environment. Participation is welcome or you may just enjoy the discussion.
